Resident is angry
Dear Editor:
I am an angry old man.
Let me break this down for all the “Liberals” out there. I am angry because our great nation is on a “fast track” to destruction. I am old because of the year I was born.
I am a God fearing, U.S. born, red blooded white American man.
I am angry because of my memories of my childhood and how much this Great Nation has changed in so short of time.
I am angry because when I was a kid, we all shared one thing in common…to have fun. We were a mixed bag of white, black, red, and brown kids. We were all poor and didn’t know it, but I think we had more then than now. We had no concept of sexual orientation, political correctness, and all the other traits that have been forced upon the American people in the last few years. We were all Americans.
I am angry at the fact that when I was a kid my daddy worked and my mom took care of the home, but today both parents have to work to just pay the bills.
I’m angry that I got a good education and yet today’s kids are failing the basics.
I am angry that today’s youth do not enjoy the world I grew up in. This is the fault of Liberal thinking. If something needed fixing, the government’s idea was to print more money, borrow more money, pushing us farther and farther in debt. In short, too much government controlling every aspect of our lives, and encouraging welfare. There was a time when “welfare” was to help someone who was “down,” until they could get back upon their feet to support themselves, again. There was not a lifetime of “welfare” for the lazy.
Somewhere between my being young and old, many things have been lost or done away with in the America I knew as a kid. We are no longer permitted to have prayers in schools. Teachers in some schools require students to recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the Mexican Flag and in some cases, the Arab Flag, while at the same time, refusing us the right to Pledge Allegiance to the American Flag with the word “God” in it. We have to be “politically correct.” Some schools have required girls to wear Arab burkas, so as to better understand their customs. But, the Muslim customs do not include Christians. They claim to be a religion of peace. This is not true.
We are not supposed to call radical Muslims,” terrorists,” and are supposed to call them “Freedom Fighters.” I suppose it was these same “Freedom Fighters” that crashed into the Twin Towers on 9/11. Illegal aliens are to be called displaced workers waiting for “green cards.” All this makes me angry!
I am angry at what “Liberals” have allowed this country to become, by not standing on decent American principles, and assisting the decline of this once great nation.
I am angry at the deaths of so many people in our major cities due to a lack of education and the rampant drug use in our country, and yet they blame it all on guns in America.
I am angry that people do not take responsibility for their own actions and blame everything they do on something or someone else.
I am angry at the lack of morals in this once great nation.
I am angry that law-abiding Americans are slowly but surely losing their right to defend themselves and their families.
I am angry at our politicians, from the president on down, who seem to be working against us all.
I am angry that our country is in financial distress and yet our Secretary of State gives the Muslim Brotherhood, (who calls for the “Death for America”) and President Morsi in Egypt, $250 million in financial aid to his country, while some Americans suffer here at home. I am angry that an Americam Imam (Islamic Holy Man) has instructed American Muslims to wage (Jihad) war on America.
I am angry that Muslims think that if a person does not believe the way they believe as Muslims, that person must die. I am angry that they think God would instruct they to do this.
I am angry that our President orders Drones to spy on the American people. Does our elected government not trust its own people? I am angry that our government cannot bring themselves to tell us the truth about anything.
I am angry that our government tells us that they do not have a “spending problem.” I am angry that our President mis-led the American people about the “sequester.” The sky did not fall, as he stated would happen. I am angry that our Congress cannot have a “meeting of the minds” to balance our country’s budget. I think if their pay were to be suspended until a budget could be reached, it would happen overnight.
I am quite sure I am not the only person that is “angry.”
In short, I am an “angry old man.”
