Mustang powerlifters are headed to State

Three Hughes Springs’ powerlifters are off to State competition, after competing in Regionals March 2.
Kaitlen Martin captured second place for the State qualifications as did Tara Ellis, with third place. Lacey Garamillo placed eighth. The girls participated in Regionals at Wills Point.

Kadarrian “Papa” Chism was the Regional Champion in powerlifting at the boys’ meet in Elkhart, and he is a State qualifier. Michael Martinez placed fourth at Regional competition, while Kyre Lewis placed fifth.
