Hughes Springs FFA students, along with advisors John Russell and Randy Penny assisted riders at an Endurance Ride hosted by Khristen Seymore on the Priefert Ranch Feb. 16 and 17. The students held gates for riders to pass through to keep cattle in correct pastures in addition to serving a meal to the riders Saturday night. The event began at 7 a.m. for riders to travel 50 miles. FFA students sat at the gates for over 12 hours to assist the riders. The FFA chapter was given a donation for their assistance at the event.
