Vehicle Crime Prevention
The Daingerfield Lions Club will host a program on Vehicle Crime Prevention by the Texas Auto Theft Task Force on Monday, April 15. The program will be at noon at the Boy Scout Hut on Freeman Avenue across from West Elementary. The Lions Club will serve free hot dogs beginning at noon, followed by the program at 12:30 pm.

Class Reunion
There will be class reunion for the Hughes Springs High School Class of 1948 on May 4 at Don Juans in Hughes Springs, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Anyone who was in school around that time is invited to join the reunion. For further information, contact Eloise Hull at 903-639-3026.

Basketball tournament
The seniors of Daingerfield High School are hosting a basketball tournament for males ages 15 and up on the April 27 at 10 a.m. at the Daingerfield High School’s old gym. This is a two loss elimination tournament, so fight for the top two spots and maybe your team could be the one to receive the grand prize of $300. Sign-up ends April 18. Afterschool
Daingerfield Afterschool Centers on Education, ACE, offers bus transportation on Monday and Tuesday only.  All ACE students will be parent pick-up on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  Monday, April 22, will be the last day for ACE bus transportation. All ACE students will be parent pick up until the last day of ACE on May 23.  If you have any questions or concerns, contact the site coordinator, Shanta Lockett, at the junior high campus.

Music City Texas
Music City Texas Theater Presents J.D. Souther April 12 at 8 p.m. For tickets, call 903-756-9934 Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Williams Chapel
There will be praise, prayer and preaching at Williams Chapel Baptist Church Saturday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to noon sponsored by the women’s ministry. Special guests will be Annetta Whetstone and Ruthur Talbert.

Installation Services
Installation services for the Rev. Roy Miles will be held at Pine Bluff Baptist Church on Highway 250 between Hughes Springs and Marietta on Sunday at 3 p.m. The Rev. Jessie Biles and the Shady Grove Baptist Church from Cason will be the special guests. The public is invited to attend.
