School board denies 3 percent administrator pay increase
By Marlene J. Bohr mbohr@steelcountrybee.com An agenda item to approve administrator and diagnostician raises for Daingerfield-Lone Star Independent School District did not pass by a vote of 3 to 4. This action was taken at the June 17 board meeting. The 3 percent increase would mean an additional $26,000 plus in expenses to the district. Board member Miguel Larsen said he was abstaining as he did not have all of the information needed and wanted to have time to look at the budget again.
