Hudgins

Services for Evelyn Elizabeth Hudgins, 89, were held May 26 at Garrison Funeral Home in Garrison with the Rev. Bill Jones of Cold Springs Baptist Church in Garrison officiating. Interment was in Cold Springs Cemetery in Garrison.

Mrs. Hudgins was born Nov. 4, 1923, in Angelina County and died May 24 at Longview Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Hudgins was a homemaker and a great mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She graduated from Garrison High School and was a long time member of South Union Missionary Baptist Church in Jenkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary(Potts) Teer; brothers Frank Teer and Nelson Teer; sisters Katheryn, Matielynn, and Mary Lou.

Survivors include Alfred L Hudgins of Colonial Village in Longview; sons, Carl and wife, Carol of Granbury, Stephen Hudgins and wife, Connie of San Antonio, Danny and wife, Janelle of Longview; daughter, Carolyn Pondant and husband, Dom of Marshall; brother, Joe Tom Teer of Pasadena; sisters, Frances Sanders and husband, Ray, Garrison, Betty Miller and husband, Gene of Kerrville; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
