Blood Drive

Morris County Sheriff Jack Martin will host the Lifeshare Blood Center of Texarkana, at the Courthouse Annex Building in front of the Sheriff's Office at 502 Union St. in Daingerfield. Lifeshare is currently experiencing a shortage and help is needed. The blood drive is between 1 and 6 p.m. Aug. 6.

Football Tickets

Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD will offer the same reserved seat football tickets to the same ticketholders as last year beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, at the Administration Office located on 200 Tiger Drive. Tickets not purchased by Monday, Aug. 12, will be sold to the public beginning on Aug. 13. To honor veterans and senior citizens, the Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD is making available a free general admission pass to all activities. Activity cards may be picked up at the Administration office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. These cards entitle veterans and senior citizens (62 and older) to enter all home athletic events and school activities free of charge.

Meet and Greet

The Brothers, Uncle, Dad, Developing Youth Organization of East Texas (BUDY Org of ETEX) is sponsoring a meet and greet outing on July 27, at the Wallick Chapel Christian Church annex building, in the Piney Heights community. It will begin at 10:30 a.m. Refreshments and games will be provided. For additional information, contact Richard C. Summer Workouts

The 2013 Daingerfield Tiger team building summer workouts will be held through Aug. 1, Monday through Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. This is for incoming seventh grade through 12th.

Caregiver’s Support Group

There will be a Caregiver’s Support Group meeting every Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. in the conference room at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Linden. For further information, call Kathy Johnson at 903-756-9868.

Health Awareness

Reunion
