Services for Jerry Pratt, 87 of Daingerfield will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug.7, at the First Baptist Church of Daingerfield with Bro. Don Ross officiating. Interment will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.
Mr. Pratt was born Nov. 11, 1925, in Rocky Branch and died Monday, Aug. 5, in Daingerfield. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Daingerfield, veteran of the US Army having served during World War II where he received the Bronze Star and member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a retired school administrator at Daingerfield Lone Star Independent School District, retired Morris County Judge and enjoyed ranching.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Betty Jo Freeman Pratt of Daingerfield; children, Brenda and Jimmy Bedard of Gilmer, Jerry and Anna Pratt Jr. of Longview and Janis and Kelly Olive of Rocky Branch; six grandchildren, Wendy and Clay Keith of Lindale, Jeremy and Amber Walker of Grapevine, Jesse Pratt of Montreal, Canada, Abbie Pratt of Longview, Claire and Jonathan Schmit of Austin, Riley Olive of Rocky Branch; two great-grandchildren, Miles and Marley Jo Keith of Lindale.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
