College offers EMT courses

The Northeast Texas Community College Emergency Medical Services program is offering a hybrid emergency medical technician (EMT) Basic Level course this fall. Students will complete the full semester of training online and then meet face-to-face for three days at the end of the term. Classes begin Aug. 26.
The EMT Basic Level course is designed to prepare students to test to become a certified EMT. In addition to teaching vital lifesaving skills, the course covers areas such as basic life support, patient assessment, communication skills, and more.
