A family day is planned for military, veterans and families

East Texas Veterans Resource Center is planning a veterans’ family day on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the center in Longview. The center is located at 501 Pine Tree Road. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and is open to all area military, veterans and their families.
“This is the first event,” said Lori Thomas, outreach coordinator.  “We just opened our resource center, and this is an opportunity to bring the community together to see what services we have to offer.”
