Beverly Ann Huchingson Rowe was born Aug. 29, 1954, in Hughes Springs, and died Sept. 19, in Longview.
She grew up in Hughes Springs in a little house near where the school administration building sits today. She was beloved by many grandparents, aunts and uncles and had lots of cousins to play with. She had the good sense to marry James Rowe in 1976, just six weeks after meeting him. Together they had two daughters, one of whom survived. She loved her role as a wife and mother and was known to “adopt,” every child she came across. She loved to cook and eat a good meal and no one who visited ever went home hungry. She was, in the words of her nephew, Christopher, playful and full of mischief.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Mary Huchingson; infant daughter, Beverly Nicole Rowe and sister, Connie Harrell.
She is survived by husband, James Rowe of Hughes Springs, daughter, Tori Lyle and husband, Stacy, of Huntsville; former son-in-law, Joe Brock of Huntsville; grandchildren, Shea Lyle and Shelby and Jackson Brock of Huntsville; mother-in-law, Nell Rowe, of Hughes Springs; brother-in-law, Gene Harrell of Texarkana, Ark.; niece Kim Spaulding and husband, Brian, of Texarkana, Ark.; nephew, Christopher Harrell and wife, Kendra, of Denton; great-nephew, Sawyer Spaulding, and great-nieces, Piper and Hartley Spaulding, of Texarkana, Ark.; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends left to cherish her memory.
A celebration of her life is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for children.
