Fish Fry
The Jenkins Volunteer Fire Department will hold a fish fry Oct. 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Ounce of Prevention
Ounce of Prevention emphasis in October is domestic violence/family violence. The regular meeting will be held Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Church on the Rock in Daingerfield. Melissa Horton from Safe-T and Bunny Terre, crime victim’s compensation counselor, will speak.

Youth Revival
Williams Chapel Baptist Church will host youth revival at 3 p.m. on Oct. 13. T.K. Monroe of New Birth Baptist Church will be the special guest speaker.
Event Center Preview
The city of Hughes Springs will host a public preview of “The Legacy an Event Center” on Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. The building is located at 122 E. First St. in Hughes Springs. The public is invited to the preview.
Anniversary
The Pine Bluff Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its 148th anniversary on Oct. 13 at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Patrick Loyd and the Metropolitan Baptist Church from Pittsburg will be special guests. The public is invited.
Historical Marker
There will be Texas Historical Medallion Dedication ceremony at Pleasant Hill Center, 2722 Farm-to-Market Road 1399 in Linden at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20. This is for the Pleasant Hill School Restoration Project. Refreshments will be served.

The Daingerfield High School Class of 1953 will have its 60-year class reunion Oct. 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Morris County Courthouse Annex. The evening meal will be at Jenkins United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 6 p.m.

The Daingerfield High School Class of 1955 will hold its reunion Oct. 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Morris County Courthouse Annex. The class will have a steak dinner provided by the Daingerfield Volunteer Fire Department at 6 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Daingerfield.

The Daingerfield High School Class of 1963 will hold its reunion Oct. 4 and 5. The class will meet at Don Juan’s Restaurant in Hughes Springs at 6 p.m. on Friday. A steak dinner will be held Saturday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Daingerfield Church of Christ Fellowship Hall.

The Daingerfield Alumni Association will sponsor the annual all-class reunion on Oct. 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. a t the Daingerfield Courthouse Annex. Activities will include a business meeting at 2 p.m.
