Lunch
The Twentieth Century Club will hold its annual soup and sandwich lunch at the First Baptist Church in Daingerfield’s Fellowship Hall on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are available at the door. Proceeds of the lunch go toward scholarships.

Special Services
Williams Chapel Baptist Church will have special services at 10 a.m. on Oct. 19. Joyce Thurkal of Faith Holy Temple in Gilmer and Beulah Howard will speak. For further information, call 903-204-8136.

Historical Marker
There will be a Texas Historical Medallion Dedication ceremony at Pleasant Hill Center, 2722 Farm-to-Market Road 1399 in Linden at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20. This is for the Pleasant Hill School Restoration Project. Refreshments will be served.

Reunions
The Daingerfield Classes of 1974 and 1975 are having a joint class reunion on Oct. 19, at the Daingerfield State Park. Anyone who has not been contacted, call Kim Glover at 903-235-1956 or Janet Larsen at 903-285-5396.

M.O.M. Support Group
M.O.M. (Ministering Our Military) support group will have its monthly meeting on Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. at Pizza Inn in Pittsburg.  M.O.M. is a group of military family members who come together to support and minister to those who have loved ones currently in the military, serving our country.  For more information, visit our Facebook page (M.O.M. Family Day
The Annual Epps Family Day at Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Linden will be held Sunday, Oct. 27, at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Oscar Epps will be the special guest.

Republican Lunch
The Republican Women of Northeast Texas will host a luncheon for Cecilia Abbott, wife of the Texas Attorney General and Gubernatorial candidate, Greg Abbott, at the Mount Pleasant Country Club on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at noon.  This luncheon is not for ladies only, spouses are very welcome.  For reservations and information, call 903-572-0653.

Anniversary and Homecoming
Pastor Mark Randolph and members of Bible Baptist Church of Hughes Springs invite friends and family to its 58th anniversary and homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 20, at 10 am. The celebration will continue at 11 a.m. with special music followed by lunch and fellowship.

WatchD.O.G.S.
There will be a WatchD.O.G.S. pizza kickoff/training for dads, granddads, stepdads, uncles or friends of students at Daingerfield Junior High School. Any positive role model is invited to the junior high from 5 to 6:30 on Tuesday, Oct. 29, to receive training and information about this program.
