Northeast Texas Community College celebrated Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a Pink Rain Walk-A-Dollar-Thon that raised $455.40 to benefit Sally’s Hope. More than 100 students and employees gathered on the plaza at lunchtime decked out in pink to make a half-mile walk around campus in support of and in memory of breast cancer victims. After the walk, participants made donations and enjoyed “pink rain” refreshments. The event was co-sponsored by the NTCC Student Government Association and the Baptist Student Ministries.
