Ore City plans Yule Fest
The Ore City Annual Yule Fest will be held Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Arts and crafts will be in the community center, as well as outside booths and food booths.
There will be games for children starting at 8 a.m. Singing at the Gospel Arbor will feature local groups from 1 to 4 p.m. Music will be used from older hymnals. An antique car show, sponsored by the Ore City Police Department, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. To enter the show, call Chief Davie Morris at 903-968-2511.
The Christmas Parade will be held Saturday and will begin on Peach Street and turn onto Highway 450, and travel downtown on Main Street. All entries must be in place by 4:30 for judging. Santa will visit with children up to 8 years of age after the parade. The children must be accompanied by a parent.
The Ore City outdoor lighting contest deadline to enter is Dec. 9. The Christmas Tree Park is open to place a tree in memory of a loved one.
