Services for Lucretia ‘Cricket’ Forrest, 91 of Daingerfield will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12, at First Baptist Church with Bro. Don Ross officiating. Interment will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral home. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Forrest was born June 25, 1922, in Paris, and died Dec. 9, in Daingerfield.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 906 in Daingerfield. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW Post 1890. She was a former supervisor of Malouf’s Manufactory.
Survivors include her son Joe Forrest and wife, Diane Simpson of Daingerfield; daughter, Pam Spann and husband, George of Daingerfield; grandson, Yancy Forrest and Anne Robinson of Houston; granddaughters, Karen Ostergaard and husband; Erik of Asheville, N.C., Jennifer Parks and husband, Paul of Austin and Sydney Spann of Austin; great-granddaughters, Greta Ostergaard of Asheville, N.C. and Charlie Parks of Austin.
