Driver loses control of vehicle on rainy, cold surface

The driver of a 1998 Lexus was issued a ticket for failure to control speed after a two-vehicle crash Friday morning, according to Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Gregg Williams.
“Krystal Westerman, 25, of Mount Pleasant, lost control of her vehicle when it hydroplaned on Highway 49, northwest of Daingerfield,” Trooper Williams said. “Her vehicle struck a 2013 Toyota Corolla driven by Misty Schuerman, 61, of Hughes Springs. Ms. Schuerman was transported by Champion Emergency Medical Services ambulance to Titus Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant for non-life threatening injuries.”
