Fire destroys residence on Highway 49 west of Daingerfield

Daingerfield Volunteer Fire Department personnel were called to a structure fire at 3478 Highway 49 West at 5 a.m. Dec. 22, according to Fire Chief Jimmy Cornelius.
“A passerby saw the blaze and we were notified,” Chief Cornelius said. “No one was home at the time of the fire. The home is owned by L.V. Searcy.
