I have lived in: I grew up in Forney - 1985-2001; lived in Fort Worth 2001-2007; lived in Jefferson 2007-2012; and in Hughes Springs since October of 2012.
Family: My husband, David VanHuss; my son, Holdin Miller; mom, Michelle Rushing; dad, Charlie Rushing; brother, James Clinton; sister, Sheila Kroenke; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pets: Four dogs, Duke, Trigger, Bella, and London; two horses, Reeses and CC; and one chicken, Henny Penny.
Occupation: Store owner of Classic Consignments.
One of the best things about my job is: I get to meet people and work with the community.
My ideal vacation is: Log cabins in the mountains, bon fires, fire places, animals and nature.
My heroes are: My parents. They raised me to be an individual and strive for my dreams.
My favorite TV show is: Nashville.
My favorite healthy snack is: Brussell sprouts.
A cause I most believe in is: Ending domestic violence and animal cruelty.
If I could change one thing about East Texas, it would be: My allergies.
The persons who have influenced my life most are: My parents.
The scariest thing that ever happened to me was: I was held at gun point when I was 4 years old by a man that was robbing our house. When I got away from him he aimed the gun at me and shot. Right as he shot I turned a corner in our alley.
If I had to do it all over again, I’d: Finish college and gotten married later in life.
The most exciting or dangerous thing I’ve ever done was: Four wheel riding and mudding.
If I won a trip to anywhere, I would go to: Ireland.
One word that describes me is: Out going.
