Placing in All-Region Band

Hughes Springs Junior High 20 students auditioned for the All-Region band in Union Grove on Dec. 13. These students prepared their music and scales for several months. The students who made the band will be attending a clinic and concert in January. Students making the band, from left are, Troy Beam eighth chair, trumpet; Noah Childress fifth chair, French horn; Daughton Singletary, first chair tuba; Trey Beam, first chair trumpet; Kailey Farmer, ninth chair trumpet; Cypress Wright, 14th chair trumpet; Zoe Lanier, second alternative alto sax; Brianna Page, eighth chair clarinet; Nathan Tippit, first alternate alto sax; and Philip Campbell, 23rd chair clarinet. The junior high band director is Sarah Thompson.
