Services for Faye Mars Chapman, 96, of Daingerfield will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 17, at the Daingerfield Church of Christ. Interment will be in the Daingerfield Cemetery under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Chapman was born July 8, 1917, in Rocky Branch to Walter and Essie Carr, and died on Jan. 14 in Hughes Springs.
She was a member of the Daingerfield Church of Christ and a retired nurse’s aid.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Berry Mars and J. W. Chapman; grandson, Jeff Laney; two brothers, Jimmy Carr and Merrill Carr; and one sister, Ora Green.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Walter B. and Rita Mars of Daingerfield; daughters, Cynthia Hampton of Daingerfield and Evelyn Miller of Hughes Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Stacee Chapman of Diana; sister, Ruby Clay of Omaha; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
