School board signups are getting underway

If you are interested in education and would like to be of service to your school district, spots to serve are coming open. Jan. 29 is the date to sign up for a place on a school board and Feb. 28 is the final date.
Avinger has no terms up this year. At Daingerfield-Lone Star Independent School District, Neil Roney for District 1 and Maurice Tigert for District 2 have terms that are expiring.
Hughes Springs has three places coming up for renewal/replacement. Those are Rick Nelson in Place 1, Billy Willis in Place 2 and Clint Morgan in Place 3.
