Longview University Center welcomes new students

The University of Texas at Tyler Longview University Center held an orientation session on Jan. 9 for its newest level one nursing students, according to director Dr. Van Patterson.
“It is always a pleasure to meet these students who are entering the nursing program for the first time,” said Dr. Patterson. “Many of the students are from Longview, Hallsville and Mount Pleasant, but we also have some that have traveled from as far away as Baytown and Edmond, Oklahoma. I hope the city of Longview will join us in welcoming these students to our community.”
Students from this area are Jamie Putman of Avinger and Andrea Davis and Lisa Preuninger, both of Hughes Springs.
