Masonic Lodge awarded 125-year certificate

The Grand Master of Masons in the State of Texas was in Hughes Springs Jan. 3 to present a certificate commemorating the 125th year of Masonic Lodge #671. Grand Master Jerry L. Martin spoke to over 60 Masons, members of the Order of the Eastern Star, and guests. He wished the Lodge another 125 years of service to the community. The 125-year certificate was accepted on behalf of Hughes Springs Lodge by Worshipful Master Jerry Brock. Janie Brock was hostess for the event, assisted by numerous family members.
Masonic Lodges throughout Texas and across the U.S. are noted for giving scholarships to graduating high school seniors, sponsoring blood drives, and other services to their communities.
