Avinger chamber banquet is Saturday night

The eighth annual Avinger Area Chamber of Commerce awards banquet will be held on Saturday at 6 p.m. in the McDaniel Building of the Avinger School. “Fiesta” is the theme.
The speaker for the event will be George Fite of Hughes Springs. Entertainment will be provided by the Fusion Dancers from Texas A&M-Commerce. A dinner of Mexican casserole, rice and refried beans, flan and cherros, a taco bar, guacamole, chips and salsa, ice tea and coffee will be served.
