Avinger High School students prepare African-American Program

Students in Ken Loyd’s history class at Avinger High School studied and presented an African-American Program in the McDaniel Building on Feb. 26.
Participating in the reflections beginning of the program from the community were Lois Montgomery, Jerry Hatten and Charles Jones.
James Adams recited Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s ‘I have a Dream’ speech. Maggie Clark from the social studies class, read ‘Who am I?’
Jeremiaha Clark’s part of the program was giving the presidential proclamation. Madison Garrison talked about the Ballard of Birmingham.
