Eight people will vie for three council positions in Lone Star

Eight people have signed up to run for three positions on the Lone Star City Council as of the deadline Friday at 5 p.m.
The terms of Earl Alexander, Jerri Chism and Martha Wexler are expiring and all three incumbents have signed up to run for another term. Challengers include Bradley L. Harmon, James Barrett, Larry Jones, Elizabeth Kienzle, and Keith Reiter.
Daingerfield Mayor Lou Irvin’s position is up this year, along with council positions held by Martha Campbell and Lonnie Tucker. Mayor Irvin has signed up to serve another term, as has Ms. Campbell and Mr. Tucker.
