Music City Texas

Fish Fry
The Jenkins Volunteer Fire Department will hold a fish fry, Saturday, March 8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the fire department.

Chamber Membership Drive

Senior Expo
The Camp County Senior Expo will be held Thursday, March 20, from noon to 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. There will be speakers presenting information on the latest scams, financial fraud, why everyone should have a will, how to decrease the chances of becoming a victim of theft, elder abuse and more. There will be limited seating. Call 903-434-8394 to reserve your seat. A light lunch will be served. The workshop is organized by Northeast Texas Community College, Ounce of Prevention partners and the Camp County Retired School Personnel.
 
Men’s Day
The Pine Bluff Baptist Church on Highway 250 will celebrate Men’s Day during its morning worship service on March 9 at 11 a.m. J.D. Scott will bring the message. The public is invited to attend.

Basketball Tournament
There will be a Black Community Scholarship Basketball Tournament at 7 p.m. on March 21 and at 8 p.m. on March 22 at the Daingerfield High School Gymnasium. For further information, call 903-645-4693.

Golf Tournament
The Longview World of Wonders Youth Advisory Council is hosting a four-person scramble golf tournament starting at 1 p.m. March 29 at Wood Hollow Golf Club in Longview. Lunch will be provided at noon. The tournament will benefit Longview World of Wonders’ efforts to open a hands-on children’s discovery center in downtown Longview. Art Show
A spring arts how will be held March 10 through 15 presented by The Legacy an Event Center at 122 E. 1st St. in Hughes Springs. Artwork should be brought to the Legacy Monday, March 10, from 1 to 7 p.m. All entries must remain on display until 4 p.m. on March 15.
