I have lived: I currently live in Jenkins. I have lived in Lone Star and Henderson.
Family: Husband, Bill; children, Sean and Aaron David Jordan Whelchel; and six grandchildren, Dylan, Alyssa, Quintain, Green Lee, Graycee and Lester.
Pets: Dogs, Baker and Wendy.
Occupation: LVN, ADON at The Springs Nursing Center.
One of the best things about my job is: I love my residents and staff. We are like a big family.
My ideal vacation is: Going camping.
My hero is: My husband. He stands by me no matter what.
My favorite TV show is: Andy Griffin.
My favorite healthy snack is: Fruit.
A cause I most believe in is: Taking care of your children.
If I could change one thing about East Texas, it would be: Drug free.
The persons who have influenced my life most are: My mother and grandmother. They taught me to love your family and children.
The scariest thing that ever happened to me was: When I climbed on the roof to put up my Christmas lights. I got scared of height and just laid on the roof until I got the courage to climb down.
If I had to do it all over again, I’d: Spend more time with my mother and grandmother.
The most exciting or dangerous thing I’ve ever done was: Getting married and having my two boys.
If I won a trip to anywhere, I would go to: The lake.
Two words that describe me are: Caring and tender-hearted.
Included on my bucket list are: Learn to swim, seeing all of my kids and grandkids grown up and being happy, honest and good people.
