Hughes Springs to hold election for school board positions

Feb. 28 was the last day to sign up for a place on the school board in the school district where you live.
At Daingerfield-Lone Star Independent School District, Neil Roney for District 1 and Maurice Tigert for District 2 have terms that are expiring. Mr. Tigert has signed up for another term, as has Mr. Roney. Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD will not hold an election.
Hughes Springs has three places coming up for renewal/replacement. Those are Rick Nelson in Place 1, Clint Morgan in Place 2 and Billy Willis in Place 3. All three incumbents have filed to run again. Butch Reeves has also signed up for Place 1.
