Pair arrested for possession of controlled substance

Two Lone Star residents were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, according to Morris County Sheriff Jack Martin.
Timothy Dwain Lewis, 46, of Lone Star, and his passenger, Amber Shay Hudson, 34, also of Lone Star were arrested by Deputy Jimmy Simpler Feb. 19 at approximately 2:48 a.m.
“The pair was arrested after Deputy Simpler observed a minor traffic violation in the Jenkins community and conducted a traffic stop,” Sheriff Martin said. “After obtaining consent to search the vehicle, Deputy Simpler located crystal-like rocks believed to be methamphetamines.
