Daingerfield senior Reyna Soto finished second in ankle taping

Members of the Daingerfield Sports Medicine Team traveled to the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University on Jan. 18 to attend the East Texas Athletic Trainers’ Association Student Trainer Workshop.
Over 100 student athletic trainers from across East Texas gathered to join in discussions over injuries and rehabilitation, participate in a kinesio tape application lab, and visit with college representatives.
The workshop presented an opportunity for students to learn and practice skills that would be helpful in the medical field. The event ended with an ankle taping contest among the students. Daingerfield senior Reyna Soto finished second in the contest.
“It was fun because everyone was competing against each other,” she said. “I was excited, but still a little sad that I didn’t get first place.”
