Music City Texas announces that Hal Ketchum is touring again and will return to Linden, Saturday, April 5.
At age 17, the singer/songwriter moved from upstate New York to Texas, where he quickly began to hone his songwriting skills playing at the now-famous Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas.
Hal went to Nashville and in 1991 scored a quick ticket to fame with his first single, “Small Town Saturday Night,” which hit number one. A string of hits followed, including “I Know Where Love Lives,” “Hearts Are Gonna Roll,” “Stay Forever,” “Five O’Clock World,” “Sure Love,” and “I Miss My Mary”, adding up to fifteen hits in the top ten.
Mr. Ketchum has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1994 and often hosts the “Opry Live” show on GAC. In addition to being a master woodworker, Mr. Ketchum is also an accomplished painter who has shown at the distinguished Penna Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He still lives and works in the Texas Hill Country.
