For a weekend of entertainment, plan to spend time joining in the fun at the 44rd Annual Wildflower Trails festivities to be held Thursday through Saturday in Avinger, Hughes Springs, and Linden.
Activities in Avinger will include a poster contest, an art show, a photography contest, children’s games, a petting zoo, pets on parade, bingo, and a bake sale. Craft vendors will be set up for the event. Barbecue and homemade ice cream will be among items offered for sale by food vendors.
The One Act Play will be at 7 p.m. at the McDaniel Building at Avinger School on April 25. There will be a rummage sale starting at 9 a.m. April 26 at the school.
The clues in the treasure hunts in Avinger will be at the post office.
In Hughes Springs the clues will be on the electronic sign across from the First National Bank.
Carnival dates are Wednesday through Saturday in Hughes Springs.
Sesame Street Literary Club hosts a window-decorating contest beginning Thursday in Hughes Springs.
