The duo of Dylan Moore and Chad McKinney came through big for Hughes Springs Thursday evening, helping the Mustangs advance to the Area round of the State playoffs. With Moore taking to the bump, and McKinney, his battery-matebehind the plate, the Mustangs barely broke a sweat againstthe Chapel Hill Red Devils, winning 10-0, after 6 innings. Dylan Moore has been stellar all year and this game was no different. Already pitching a perfect game earlier this year, Moore added to his legacy at Hughes Springs by throwing a no hitterin his senior year playoff run. Moore struck out 11 batters and contributed at the plate too. McKinney, not to be out done, started things off right for the Mustangs with a double that went to the left field wall in the bottom of the first inning. Every Mustang got in on the action helping them advance in the playoffs for a matchup with Scurry-Rosser, in a best of 3 series, to be played in Van starting Friday night, with a second game on Saturday and a game 3, if necessary after game 2.
