Cason Fire Department
The Cason Volunteer Fire Department is reorganizing and recruitment of volunteers is underway. For further  information, call Jerry Ragsdellat 903-767-8990 or Ricky Glenn at 903-353-1659.
 
Click it or Ticket
Daingerfield Police Department and the Lone Star Police Department will be doing the Click it or Ticket Memorial Day Mobilization Program from May 19 through June 1. There will be more officers out and actively looking for seat belt violations. Click it or Ticket helps increase the use of safety belts during that period.
 
Carry the Load 
Ministering Our Military rally, lunch and memorial walk will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 23 at the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce. For registration email mtpleasant@carrytheload.org or call Kellye at 903-466-1831.
 
Rabies Clinic
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Morris County and the Daingerfield Veterinary Hospital are conducting the annual rabies clinic on May 31, from 9 to 11 a.m., at Crumps Shopping Center in Lone Star; from noon to 2 p.m. at the Daingerfield Veterinary Hospital; and from 3 to 5 p.m. at Paul Pewitt High School parking lot.
 
Bingo
The first bingo game starts in Daingerfield at the Old Ice House, 106 W Scurry St., by the railroad track, will be Saturday, May 17, from 6 to 8 p.m.
 
Revival
The Pine Bluff Baptist Church will host its annual revival June 3 through June 5 at 7:30 p.m. Guest speakers will be the Rev. A.C. Williams of Atlanta, the Rev. D.A. Hill of Daingerfield and the Rev. Paul Todd of Marshall. The public is invited.
 
Youth Workshop
A pre-summer youth workshop blast will be held at the Allen-Rodgers Retreat Center in Linden off Highway 155 on June 7 at 10 a.m. Following the workshop, there will be food for all and outdoor games for the youth.
