Hughes Springs’ graduate pens book “What Women (Really) Want”

A former Miss Hughes Springs, former Miss Lake O’ the Pines and representative of East Texas at the Miss Texas Pageant, has become the co-author of a book titled “What Women (Really) Want.” Ann-Marie Brown Murrell, formerly of Hughes Springs, co-authored the book with Politi-Chicks.tv co-anchors, actress Morgan Brittany and Dr. Gina Loudon. The book will be released in September and is published by WND Publishing. Ms. Murrell has lived in California over 30 years, where she had done some acting and now is in the Politi-Chicks. “I have also been on the Glen Beck show and Dr. Phil, and I do speaking engagements all over the country,” Ms. Murrell said.
 
She has been featured on dozens of radio and television shows, including Fox News, BlazeTV, the Dennis Prager Show, the Janine Turner Show and she is a regular commentator and guest host on One America’s Rick Amato Show, Front Page Magazine’s Glazov Gang and the Mark Isler Show on 870/The Answer. The 1980 graduate of Hughes Springs High School said she attended North Texas State and then moved to California with the intent to be an actress.
 
“I got small roles on dozens of television shows (ABC’s ‘Sledge Hammer’ and the soap ‘Young and the Restless,’ lots of commercials and a few movies (‘Sunset Strip’ starring Tom Eplin) before focusing on my favorite job, being a mom to my son Jason, who is now 28. In 2007 my career made a major u-turn when I began writing for various conservative-based web sites (including Michael Reagan’s ReaganReport. com). That turned into on-camera reporting and speaking from events across the US, and then PolitiChicks.tv was born.
