Early voting underway in the primary runoff election; ends May 23

Early voting in the primary runoff election began May 19 and will end May 23. 
 
In Cass County, there will be a runoff between candidates running on the Republican ticket for District Clerk. The contenders are Jamie Price Albertson and Pam Jaynes. 
 
Also on the Republican ticket there is a runoff between David M. Alameel and Kesha Rogers for United States Senator; and a runoff between Jim Hogan and Richard “Kinky” Friedman for Commissioner of Agriculture. 
 
On the Democratic ticket, Ralph Hall, incumbent, and John Ratcliffe will vie for U.S. Representative, District 4. Dan Patrick and David Dewhurst will view for Lieutenant Governor, and Ken Paxton and Dan Branch will view for Attorney General. Commissioner of Agriculture will be decided between Tommy Merritt and Sid Miller. Ryan Sitton and Wayne Christian are vying for the position of Railroad Commissioner.
 
Early voting in Cass County is held at the Cass County voting building at 227 Rush St. and in Morris County at the county clerks’ office in the courthouse. Early voting in Morris County is at the county clerks’ office.
 
Election Day is May 27.
