Graveside services for Harold Preston Biddy, 77, of Hughes Springs, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs, with Dennis O’Keefe officiating.
Harold was born Aug. 5, 1936, and died May 23. He was a proud steel man and union member. He worked at Lone Star Steel for 30 years as a first helper. He was a veteran of the US Army where he served as a chef while he was stationed at Ft. Ord, Calif. He was a praying cowboy who loved his horses and cattle.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jo Penecost Biddy; and one daughter, Dana Jean Biddy.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, DeLana Biddy Pierre and Mickey Keasler of Longview and Deresa Biddy and Bruce Baggett of Fort Worth; one grandson, Jackson Blake Pierre of Longview; one sister, Elaine Biddy Brabham of Hughes Springs; one brother Kenneth Ray Biddy of Jenkins; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces.
