Full Name: Lane Loyd.
I have lived in: Avinger, Gilmer, Longview, Houston, Harleton, Marshall, Valentine, Sherman, Mc- Leod, Mount Pleasant, White Oak, Huntington, Texarkana, Beckville, Baird, Stephenville and Weatherford, all in Texas; Clarksville, Booneville and Arkadelphia, all in Arkansas; Nashville, Tenn., and Santa Barbara and Thousand Oaks.
Family: Denise, wife of 21 years; and son: Chiam 17, currently a junior at Avinger.
Pets: Dogs, Golden retriever- “Cisco,” Boxer- “Moonshine,” and Cocker- “Mercy.”
Occupation: Magician and maintenance at Avinger ISD.
One of the best things about my job: Relationships with young people.
My ideal vacation: Trout fishing in the mountains.
My hero is: Jesus Christ, everything.
My favorite TV show is: None.
Favorite healthy snack: Lil’mama bacon burger all the way with a side swamp fries and chocolate shake.
The cause I most believe in is: The students at Avinger.
If I could change one thing about East Texaas it would be: The humidity.
The persons who have influenced my life the most are: My parents; I am what I am because of them.
The scariest thing that ever happened to me: Becoming a father.
Most dangerous thing I’ve ever done was: Teach/coach in Houston.
If I won a trip somewhere I would go: Into the wilderness.
I would have liked to participate in the historical event of: World War II then Woodstock, if I could shower each day.
Words that describe me are: Poor, happy and crazy.
Included on my bucket list are: Finish riding motorcycle in every state, (45 to go).
I wish I had the courage to: Live louder. I’m working on it.
