An East Texas woman, formerly of Daingerfield, has just released new book ‘Tied in a Bow.’ Satoya Smith is a 2001 graduate of Daingerfield High School.

“I’m a new author and I’ve just released a book called ‘Tied in a Bow’ that is 50 pages filled with friendship battles, heartache, losses, etc, which are all based on true/real events and situations in my life over the years,” Ms. Smith said. “I’ve always wanted to write a book about my life because I felt like events that I’ve experienced are interesting and can be enlightening to others. I decided to go ahead and further my options towards the idea of writing a book to educate the world on things I’ve been through, overcame, lessons I learned from and decisions I had to make which made me the person who I am today.

“What I’m talking about in this book is just a few of the things that I’ve encountered. The purpose of my book is to allow others to know that anything you go through can truly make you stronger. I know there are so many subjects that I’m touching on.”

Ms. Smith feels that many people can relate to her shared stories in her book.

“Many can relate to and by me sharing my stories,” she said. “It will allow them to empower the idea that you’re not alone. My hopes are that I reach many people and help them in some type of way. Another one of my purposes for my book is to reach out to certain individuals. What I mean by that is there are certain chapters in my book for specific people or groups.
