Music City Texas
Music City Texas Theater Presents Whiskey Myers on July 26. For tickets, call 903-756-9934 Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The theater is located at 108 Legion St. in Linden. Check the web site at www.musicitytexas.org.
Summer Feeding Program
Daingerfield-Lone Star Independent School District is having a free summer breakfast and lunch for children under the age of 18. Breakfast is from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. and lunch is from 11 a.m. to noon at South Elementary, Lunch will also be at the Daingerfield City Park and the Lone Star City Park, both at 11 a.m., and Lone Star Country Square Apartments at 11:30 a.m.
Daingerfield Library
Story time at the Daingerfield Library will be held Tuesdays through July 17 from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Hughes Springs Library There will be a summer reading program at the Hughes Springs Library on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
Usher Day
The Pine Bluff Baptist Church, located on Highway 250 between Marietta and Hughes Springs, will host its annual Usher Day program on July 13, at 2:30 p0.m. The Rev. Earl Rain Bon and the New Horizon Baptist Church of Lone Star will be the special guests. The public is invited.
Pastor Appreciation
Wallick Chapel Christian Church in Daingerfield will honor it associate pastor and wife, A.O. and Oreathe Sasser on July 6 at 3 p.m. the Rev. D. Rodgers and the Shady Grove Christian Church of Cason will be special guests. The public is invited.
Movies in the Park
“Top Gun” will be shown Friday, July 11, with “Armageddon” shown on Saturday, July 12, at Spring Park next to the city hall offices in Hughes Springs. “Zoo Keeper” will be shown Friday, July 25, and “Back to the Future” on Saturday, July 26.
