Lone Star Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jerry Stoermer, right, shakes the hand of dispatcher Natalie Gaines after shaking hands with Morris County Sheriff’s Deputy Ken Thomas. Chief Stoermer said he appreciated their help during the rescue operations on July 3 when a powered parachute landed in a tree in Lone Star.
