We will work hard to have strong achievement levels in all aspects of the service center. We will be a service center that places the students of East Texas first.”

“This honor is really a reflection of the incredible faculties and staffs that I have had the honor of working with throughout my career,” Dr. Fitts said. “I am truly indebted to all of them. Also, I am eager to work with the great staff members of the service center. I am very privileged to be able to serve with them.” Dr. Fitts’ wife, Stacy, is a speech pathologist, and his sons, Jackson and Duke, will be in the ninth and seventh grades respectively. “We are extremely proud of our past at Region 8 and, at the same time, very excited about our future,” he said. “It is truly a great time to be a part of the service center team.”
