Longview police arrested a Daingerfield man July 22 on charges of harassment and solicitation of prostitution.
Joseph Eugene Pearson, 34, of Daingerfield, was arrested after a victim claimed that Mr. Pearson had been harassing him since April of 2013
“Over the past year Mr. Pearson had placed calls to prostitutes asking them to go to an address in the 2900 Block of Lynn Street, to perform sexual acts,” a Longview police officer said. “In each case, each time the victim was approached by females, sometimes accompanied by males, who arrived at his home to have sex for money. At one point the victim said he had been threatened by at least one of these unknown individuals.”
Mr. Pearson was arrested and placed in the Gregg County Jail under a $2,000bond. Harassment and solicitation of prostitution are misdemeanor offenses and are crimes that can be punished by up to a year in the county jail and a maximum fine of $4,000.
