Hickory Hill to debut new album on Aug. 16

Music City Texas Theater hosts the 12th Annual Summer Bluegrass Show on Saturday, Aug. 16. Hickory Hill has just completed recording of a new CD slated to release Aug.13. Titled “The Kings of Texas Folk-grass,” the CD includes a mix of bluegrass, country, folk and even some rock & roll tunes in an original style honed through more than 35 years of performing.
“We plan on playing most of the new songs at this show,” said John Early. “Its going to be fun. We haven’t had a chance to play them live.” 
The CD will be available for purchase along with other Hickory Hill merchandise. 
The band features founding members John Early and Bob Steagall plus Wes Perry, Michael Morrison and Milo Deering. 
This year’s special guest is singer- songwriter Roy Hale from Little Rock, Ark. 
Showtime at Music City Texas is 8 p.m., with doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available by phone at 903-756-9934, in the box office at 108 Legion St., Linden and at the door.
