GED Classes

Music City Texas

Friends and Family Day

Meet the Teacher
Meet the Teacher Night in local schools will be Aug. 21. In Avinger, Meet the Teacher will be from 6 to 7 p.m. In Daingerfield it will be held at West Elementary School from 4 to 5:30 p.m., South Elementary School is 4:30 to 6 p.m., and sixth grade junior high is 5 to 6:30 p.m. At Hughes Springs Elementary, Meet the Teacher will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. At the junior high, the Colt Camp will be held on Aug. 19 from 1 to 5 p.m.
Movies in the Park
“Heaven is Real” will be shown Friday, Aug. 22, with “Soul Surfer” shown on Saturday, Aug. 23, at Spring Park next to the city hall offices in Hughes Springs.
Pastor Anniversary
Williams Chapel Baptist Church in Naples will hold a pastor and wife second anniversary celebration at 3 p.m. on Aug. 24. The special guest will be Dr. Jessie Biles, pastor of Shady Grove Baptist church in Cason, with the Rev. Jerral Walker of Union Chapel Baptist Church of Omaha as the master of ceremonies.
