Hot Rod ministry revvs up in Hughes Springs

Furthering the word of the gospel, members of First Baptist Church in Hughes Springs have discovered a unique way to reach out and include others in sharing the good news. “We purchased a 1961 DeSoto in April of 2013,” Pastor Daniel Bramlett said.“We pooled our money and purchased the car. There were 18 of us that spent a year working to rehab this car. We did it from the ground up and did it all ourselves; it was all volunteer labor. 
The car is running and driving and we have taken it to several shows. We decided we needed a new engine so two weeks ago we started on a new engine. We are rebuilding the engine in our shop on our campus and in a couple weeks, we will have a new engine in the car.
