Daingerfield alumni banquet will be Sept. 20

The Daingerfield Alumni Association will hold its annual distinguished alumni dinner on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 6 p.m. in the Daingerfield High School cafeteria. A steak dinner prepared by the Daingerfield Volunteer Fire Department will be served before the award presentations. Tickets may be purchased at Texas Heritage Bank, North East Texas Credit Union, and Daingerfield- Lone Star ISD Administration Building. Tickets are also available by mail to be picked up at the dinner from Martha Northam Bonds, 4114 Lakeshore Drive, Lone Star, TX 75668. This year’s honorees are Greg Gant, Class of 1964; Sidney Greer, Class of 1967; and Sandra Cupp Quarles, Class of 1969. The 2013 honorees included Marx Howell, Class of 1956; Mike Crossland, Class of 1958; and Martha Alexander Baker, Class of 1968.
