Avinger Wine Festival celebration is Saturday

Avinger Wine Festival promises to offer a variety of participating wineries and vendors for a celebration of wine,food, art and music. The event will be held Sept. 20 at 460 S. Main St., Highway 49, in Avinger from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. “Entrance to the festival is free,” Ronnie Politi, event organizer, said. “This is an outdoor event where visitors can stroll around the beautiful grounds of one of Avinger’s lovely historic homesand visit our many select vendors. Admission to the wine garden is $5, where the best Texas wineries will be featured. Wine will be sold by the taste, glass and bottle.”
